David Duchovny’s latest film, “Bucky F*cking Dent,” is a quirky black comedy that’s sure to leave audiences laughing. The story follows Ted Fullilove, a Yankee Stadium peanut vendor who’s just finished his novel, but his agent isn’t impressed. In an effort to find inspiration, Ted reconnects with his estranged father Marty, who’s dying of cancer. Marty’s obsession with the Red Sox is taking a toll on his health, and Ted hatches a plan to shield him from the truth. The film is a heartwarming tale of a father and son trying to heal their relationship, and the chemistry between Logan Marshall-Green and David Duchovny is undeniable. While the ending may be predictable, the journey is filled with interesting filigree and witty dialogue. Don’t miss “Bucky F*cking Dent” at the Tribeca Film Festival.
