Governor Proclaims New Sandwich in Honor of Taylor Swift, Settling Age-Old New Jersey Food Debate

The great breakfast sandwich debate in New Jersey has finally been settled, and it’s all thanks to Taylor Swift! For years, residents of the Garden State have argued over whether their beloved egg-cheese sandwich should be called Taylor ham or pork roll. Even President Obama weighed in on the issue. But now, Governor Phil Murphy has declared the “Taylor Swift ham, egg and cheese” as the official state sandwich in honor of the pop star’s shows at MetLife Stadium. In a video message on Twitter, Murphy said, “Usually, we let you call it what you want, but since we have a superstar coming to town, we know ‘All Too Well’ that we should commemorate the occasion.” So, whether you’re a Taylor ham or pork roll fan, we can all agree that this new sandwich is a winner. And while Taylor herself hasn’t commented on the news, we’re hoping she’ll write a song about it soon!
