With a staggering 14 action sequences, this film is sure to keep you on the edge of your seat. From the deserts of Jordan to the streets of Paris and Berlin, this global journey will take you on a thrilling ride. And with a runtime of 169 minutes, you won’t want to miss a single moment. Stick around until the end credits for an extra dose of excitement.
While the previous films in the series have progressively gotten longer, John Wick: Chapter 4 never slows down. Director Chad Stahelski, a former martial arts expert and stuntman for Keanu Reeves, knows exactly what the audience wants and delivers it in spades. This film is a feast for fans of Reeves’ incredible command of martial arts, gun fu, and now car fu.
In this installment, Wick is no longer on the run. Instead, he takes the offensive and goes after the High Table, setting up a thrilling one-on-one challenge against their sadistic emissary, The Marquis. Along the way, Wick forms unholy alliances with both returning and new characters, including Donnie Yen’s Caine, who is blind and pitted against Wick in a mesmerizing battle in a mirrored room adorned with Japanese artifacts.
But the action doesn’t stop there. From a high-speed chase through the streets of Paris to a showdown in a Berlin nightclub, Wick faces off against a variety of foes, each more formidable than the last. And in the big finale, a modern-day martial arts duel to the death, Wick must prove himself against the aging man known as the Harbinger.
Keanu Reeves continues to impress with his portrayal of Wick, a man of few words but incredible skill. The addition of martial arts legends Donnie Yen and Hiroyuki Sanada takes the series to new heights, and Bill Skarsgard brings a lethal charm to his role as The Marquis. The cast is rounded out by Shamier Anderson, Rina Sawayama, Laurence Fishburne, and Ian McShane, who all deliver standout performances.
Behind the scenes, Scott Rogers, the lead stunt coordinator and choreographer, deserves recognition for his work in staging these spectacular set pieces. And with the promise of more to come in future installments, it’s clear that the John Wick franchise is here to stay.
Don’t miss John Wick: Chapter 4 when it hits theaters on March 24th. This is one action-packed film you won’t want to miss.
