Bradley Cooper and Will Arnett to Star in Searchlight Film ‘Is This Thing On?’ with Cooper as Director

Hold on to your seats, folks, because we’ve got some exciting news! Hollywood heavyweights Bradley Cooper and Will Arnett are teaming up to develop the upcoming Searchlight film, Is This Thing On? Not only will they be co-starring in the movie, but Cooper will also be taking on the director’s chair. Arnett wrote the script alongside Mark Chappell, and the project is still in its early stages. While Arnett turned in a draft before the WGA strike, Cooper will likely take a crack at the script with Arnett and Chappell once the strike ends.

But that’s not all – Cooper is also producing the film through his Lea Pictures banner, along with Arnett and Kris Thykier. John Bishop will be executive producing, and plot details are being kept under wraps for now.

As if that wasn’t enough to get you excited, Cooper is a nine-time Oscar nominee for his work on films like American Sniper, American Hustle, Silver Linings Playbook, Nightmare Alley, Joker, and A Star Is Born. He’s even in post-production on the Netflix drama Maestro, which he not only directed, produced, and co-wrote, but also stars in as composer Leonard Bernstein. The film is already predicted to be a major player this awards season.

Arnett, a seven-time Emmy nominee, is no slouch either. He burst onto the scene with his Emmy-nominated role as Gob on the iconic Fox series Arrested Development and has since lent his voice to the title character of Netflix’s BoJack Horseman and appeared in films like The Lego Movie and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchises, Blades of Glory, and Semi-Pro. He’s even producing Peacock’s upcoming series Twisted Metal and co-starring in Taika Waititi’s Next Goal Wins for Searchlight Pictures, due out at the end of the year.

So mark your calendars, folks, because Is This Thing On? is sure to be a blockbuster hit with these two Hollywood heavyweights at the helm.
