Sarah Polley, the brilliant mind behind the Best Adapted Screenplay Oscar-winning film Women Talking, is reportedly in talks to direct a live-action version of Disney’s classic Bambi! And that’s not all – the film is set to be a musical featuring the incredible talents of six-time Grammy winner Kacey Musgraves.
According to sources, the project is still in its early stages of development, but we can’t wait to see what Polley has in store for us. The original Bambi film, released in 1942, has become a timeless classic, and we have no doubt that Polley’s take on the coming-of-age story of the young deer will be just as magical.
