Joe Biden’s reelection campaign is off to a strong start, with support pouring in from influential figures in entertainment, media, and tech. Notable donors include Seth MacFarlane, Reed Hastings, and Sam Altman, who have all made six-figure contributions. Other generous contributors from the entertainment industry include Lin-Manuel Miranda, Allison Janney, Rosario Dawson, and Wendell Pierce.
In addition to these contributions, Biden’s campaign and the Democratic National Committee reported an impressive $72 million raised in the latest quarter. This marks the beginning of Biden’s reelection bid, which he announced on April 25. The campaign currently has $77 million in cash on hand.

Seth MacFarlane, Altman, Michael Skloff, Reed Hastings, Marcy Carsey, Edward Snowdon, Sybil Robson Orr, and Jacki Cisneros all made significant contributions. These details were disclosed in quarterly Federal Election Commission records.
Sam Altman, the co-founder of OpenAI, has been at the forefront of discussions surrounding the impact of AI technology on various industries and society as a whole. He has participated in White House events and testified before Congress. AI is also a key issue in the ongoing WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes, with Biden advocating for fair pay and benefits for writers and actors.
Numerous other individuals from different sectors have also shown their support for Biden’s campaign. Fashion designers such as Michael Kors, Tory Burch, and Vera Wang made substantial contributions, as did Anna Wintour. Businessman and producer Eugene William Stetson, producer Ronnie Planalp, Richard Plepler of EDEN Productions, and Charles “Skip” Paul and Blair Effron of Centerview Partners also made significant donations. The list of donors continues to grow as more fundraising records are uploaded.
While Biden has held fundraising events in cities like San Francisco and New York, an event in Los Angeles has yet to be announced. Stay tuned for more updates on the campaign’s progress.
