Fire on Warner Bros Studio Lot in Burbank Extinguished Following Transformer Explosion

UPDATED: A fire broke out on the lot of the Warner Bros studio in Burbank on Friday after a transformer blew. But don’t worry, the fire has been extinguished! According to Burbank Fire Department Battalion Chief Dave Burke, the fire was quickly put out within 30 minutes. Thankfully, there was no damage to any buildings and no injuries were reported.

Sources have revealed that the power went out and there were even images of dark smoke coming from the lot. In response, Warner Bros is taking precautions and sending all staff home, although most of them were already off for summer Fridays. They are launching an investigation into the incident, but it is believed that the fire started after a transmitter blew. Interestingly, the fire occurred near the studio’s own fire station, but luckily, no one was hurt.

In other news, images online show smoke billowing from behind the walls of the Warner Bros Discovery-owned studio. This incident comes at a time when the area is preparing for its first major heatwave of the summer. Temperatures in Burbank are expected to reach 90 degrees this weekend, while the surrounding valleys could even see triple-digit temperatures.

Stay safe and cool everyone!
