Hollywood Powerhouse KWIKH Renamed Kinsella Holley Iser Kump Steinsapir to Honor Howard Weitzman

EXCLUSIVE:  One of Tinseltown’s most powerful legal firms is making a bold move once again. After rebranding as Kinsella Weitzman Iser Kump Holley LLP two years ago, the renowned firm on Wilshire Blvd is now becoming Kinsella Holley Iser Kump Steinsapir LLP. This change not only signifies the departure of the late Howard Weitzman, co-founder of the firm, but also solidifies the legacy of Weitzman through the promotion of his protégés Shawn Holley and Jonathan Steinsapir. Their names will now be an integral part of the firm’s future.

, “When we started our law firm, we envisioned a place where talented litigators could thrive for years to come,” said Kinsella. “By making Jon a name partner and recognizing Shawn’s contributions, we are ensuring that our firm, which consists of exceptional attorneys working with clients who shape the entertainment industry, will endure for a long time.”, “As a member of the firm since its inception, I have witnessed KHIKS’ remarkable success over the past 17 years,” shared Holley with FilmmakerFocus on Wednesday. “I am honored to move into the second position in our firm’s name, and I take this responsibility very seriously,” added the Reasonable Doubt producer. “I don’t feel like I’m replacing Howard; instead, I see it as him passing me the baton.”, Holley’s promotion comes after her recent role as co-defense counsel in Danny Masterson’s second rape trial. Masterson, known for his role in That 70s Show, was found guilty of two counts of sexual assault by a LA jury on May 31 and is awaiting sentencing on August 4. With Weitzman’s passing in April 2021, Steinsapir has taken on the majority of responsibilities for Michael Jackson’s estate, making him a key figure in the firm. He has been handling numerous cases related to the late King of Pop’s career and intellectual property., However, the firm’s new name puts the spotlight on the music lawyer. “As the youngest name partner, I hope to lead the firm into the future and uphold the values, culture, and highest quality of legal work that the other name partners, along with the late great Howard Weitzman, have established,” said Steinsapir, a graduate of UCLA School of Law in 2002.

, “When I joined this firm 16 years ago, I never could have imagined seeing my name on it. I am truly humbled,” expressed Holley. “Dale, Mike, and I are thrilled about this new phase in the evolution of our law firm. We will continue to work together collaboratively and successfully to resolve the most intriguing and challenging disputes in the entertainment and business world,” said Larry Iser, Managing Partner of KHIKS, regarding the partnership and name change. “Howard Weitzman held Shawn and Jon in the highest regard, mentoring them and hand-picking them to join our team. Our name change pays tribute to these key contributors who have helped shape the firm over the past two decades.”
