Mikala Jones, 44, Hawaiian Pro Surfer, Passes Away

Mikala Jones, a legendary Hawaiian surfer, tragically lost his life in a surfing accident at the age of 44. While in Indonesia with his family, Jones suffered a severe injury to the inside of his left groin, measuring approximately 10 centimeters, according to Surfline. The accident occurred at the Awera Resort in North Sipora, where Jones was staying. Despite being rushed to the hospital, he sadly succumbed to his injuries.

In a heartfelt tribute on Instagram, Jones’ daughter Isabella confirmed the devastating news of her father’s passing. She expressed her disbelief and deep love for him, wishing she could give him one last hug and express her gratitude for being the best dad. Isabella lamented that her father’s departure was too soon and expressed her hope that he was now in a better place with her grandmother and his friends. She wished the accident had never happened and longed for the opportunity to wake up and go surfing together again.

Struggling to find the right words, Isabella shared that her dad had been involved in a serious surfing accident and did not survive. She found solace in knowing that he was doing what he loved most. Isabella acknowledged that life would never be the same without him and expressed her deep longing for one more moment with him, even if it meant arguing and laughing together. She thanked her father for teaching her valuable life lessons and always being there for her. Isabella concluded by saying that she will always think of him and expressed her love and gratitude, calling him a true legend.
