Family Guy Team Reunites at Fox Picket Line: Seth MacFarlane Urges Fair and Equitable Deal

Picket line reunions have become the norm during the ongoing strike, but the one organized for Family Guy on Tuesday was truly special. This was all thanks to creator Seth MacFarlane, who generously donated $1 million to the Entertainment Community Fund. MacFarlane joined his old team for some placard waving and a group photo outside of Fox. Later, he took to social media to pay tribute to the incredible gang, highlighting the best part of this business: working alongside talented individuals who make your shared work even better.

In a heartfelt post, MacFarlane wrote, “Pictured here are some of the incredible members of the Family Guy team this morning. Back in 2010, I was on the verge of leaving to work on ‘Ted’, unsure of the future of the animated series without me. But I needn’t have worried. The amazing team of writers, artists, actors, assistants, and production staff were already steering the ship without me, and they’re still doing it today. They have become my lifelong friends, reminding me of the true essence of this business.”

MacFarlane expressed his pride in walking the picket line with this group, emphasizing that they all deserve a fair and equitable deal. He also humorously added, “Also, I’m so glad no one smelled the booze in my coffee.”

Earlier on Tuesday, it was announced that MacFarlane’s donation to the Entertainment Community Fund will provide assistance to industry workers affected by the ongoing SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes. Since May 1, the fund has raised over $6.3 million from more than 7,500 donors, showing tremendous support for film and television workers.
