Get ready for Broadway’s highly anticipated revival of Spamalot! The casting process is in full swing, and we have some incredible talent returning from the popular Kennedy Center production. James Monroe Iglehart, Michael Urie, Leslie Rodriguez Kritzer, Jimmy Smagula, and Nik Walker will reprise their roles, bringing their incredible performances to the St. James Theatre starting on October 31. And that’s not all! We have some exciting newcomers joining the cast as well, including Ethan Slater and Christopher Fitzgerald.
But it’s not just the cast that’s making waves. We’re thrilled to announce that Josh Rhodes, known for his work on Bright Star and Cinderella, will be directing and choreographing the revival. With his expertise, we can expect a truly spectacular show.
Now, let’s talk about the creative team behind this revival. We have Paul Tate dePoo III handling scenic and projection design, Jen Caprio in charge of costume design, Cory Pattak creating stunning lighting designs, and Kai Harada & Haley Parcher taking care of sound design. Tom Watson will be in charge of wig design, and John Bell will be the musical director. With such a talented team, we can expect nothing short of perfection.
As for the performers and their roles, Christopher Fitzgerald will be playing Patsy, James Monroe Iglehart will take on the role of King Arthur, Leslie Rodriguez Kritzer will portray The Lady of the Lake, Ethan Slater will be The Historian/Prince Herbert, Jimmy Smagula will play Sir Bedevere, Michael Urie will take on the role of Sir Robin, and Nik Walker will portray Sir Galahad.
