Schmidtlein, argued that the company’s market dominance is a result of continuous innovation in its search engine, rather than exclusionary conduct that stifles competitors like Microsoft’s Bing. He pointed out that Microsoft failed to win over consumers with Bing because it didn’t invest, innovate, and prioritize search development. Instead, Microsoft focused on its Windows operating software after being beaten in the market.
