EXCLUSIVE: Shocking Allegations Against Actor Sebastian Chacon: Dropped by Reps and Film Project
In a stunning turn of events, actor Sebastian Chacon has been dropped by his representatives at Paradigm and has been removed from the indie feature film Red Dirt, according to exclusive information obtained by FilmmakerFocus. Chacon, best known for his role as drummer Warren Rojas on the hit Amazon series Daisy Jones & The Six, is currently represented by attorney Jeff Chabrowe and publicist Siri Garber of Platform PR. It remains uncertain whether Chacon will continue his working relationship with Robert Stein Management, as Stein could not be reached for comment. We will update this post with a statement from Stein if and when it becomes available.
The separation from Chacon was addressed in a statement by the Red Dirt team, clarifying that although the actor had expressed interest in being attached to the project, production never formally engaged his services. Given the recent circumstances, the team decided to seek other talent for the role, prioritizing the safety and security of their cast and crew. They stand with the survivors of sexual assault and abuse and extend their thoughts and well wishes to them.
Just last week, Chacon was accused of sexually assaulting three women in a civil suit filed in New York under the Adult Survivors Act, as revealed by FilmmakerFocus. The plaintiffs, identified as Jane Doe 1, Jane Doe 2, and Jane Doe 3, allege that the assaults occurred between 2017 and 2022 in New York and L.A.
According to the lawsuit, Jane Doe 1 claims that Chacon groomed her under the guise of a romantic relationship when she was 16 years old. In December 2017, when she was still underage and unable to legally consent, Chacon allegedly encouraged her to consume alcohol and then sexually assaulted her in his home.
In the cases of Jane Doe 2 and Jane Doe 3, who were in romantic relationships with Chacon starting in 2018 and 2022 respectively, the suit alleges that Chacon strangled them during nonconsensual sex, causing them to lose consciousness, and continued to engage in sexual acts with them afterwards.
The women state that they have experienced severe emotional distress, psychological harm, and physical injuries as a result of the alleged incidents. They are seeking compensatory damages and a trial by jury.
In a statement on Chacon’s behalf, attorney Chabrowe vehemently denies the allegations and assures full cooperation with any investigation. Chacon is determined to provide any necessary evidence to prove his innocence.
Aside from his role in Daisy Jones & The Six, Chacon has appeared in Amazon’s thriller Emergency and Showtime’s Penny Dreadful: City of Angels. Prior to the release of the sexual assault complaint, he had also completed roles in the horror thriller Humane alongside Jay Baruchel and A24’s Y2K.
Red Dirt, a revenge tale centered on survivors of cartel violence, has recently announced Aaron Dominguez, Melissa Fumero, Alejandro Edda, and Carlos Pratts as its stars. The film will be directed by Crash Buist, who co-wrote the script with Jonathan Medina and Lauren Senechal. The trio will also produce the film together.
