Kyle Boulia has just joined The Office of The Duke and Duchess of Sussex as Deputy Press Secretary to Prince Harry and Meghan, and Director of Communications for Archewell in the U.S. This exciting move comes after his successful 6-year tenure at UTA, where he held the position of Corporate Communications Manager. Additionally, Charlie Gipson will now be the main contact for all UK and European media outlets, taking over from Miranda Barbot who has been promoted to Vice President of Programs and Media Operations. Both Boulia and Gipson will report to Ashley Hansen, Global Press Secretary & Head of Communications.
During his time at UTA, Boulia was responsible for managing all executive and client communications for nearly 20 departments and business verticals, including talent, literary, music, podcasts, creators, the Foundation, DEI, and fine arts. He played a key role in shaping DEI initiatives at UTA and advocating for the LGBTQIA+ community in the entertainment industry. Boulia also led UTA Proud, an Employee Inclusion Group dedicated to supporting LGBTQIA+ clients and colleagues, as well as allies, fostering an inclusive workplace environment.
As the co-chair of UTA Proud, Boulia oversaw global initiatives and mentored LGBTQIA+ colleagues, contributing to the company’s achievement of a perfect score on the Human Rights Campaign’s Corporate Equality Index – a significant milestone for a major Hollywood talent agency. Boulia’s journey in Hollywood began as an assistant to veteran UTA communications executive Lisa Stein.
