IATSE Aims To Conclude General Negotiations Thursday As Members Petition For Greater Transparency On Contract Proposals

Stung by backlash over the last contract back in 2021, IATSE leaders are determined to bring home a near “bulletproof” agreement this year.

In a multi-talks process among multiple Guilds that started on March 4, IATSE has set a deadline of midnight tonight a.k.a. May 16 for this latest round.

But, if a deal isn’t done when the clock strikes 12, all hope isn’t lost. IATSE still has several weeks of bargaining for the Area Standards Agreement on the books.

Neither IATSE nor the Teamsters and Basic Crafts currently have a strike authorization vote. IATSE leadership has made it clear they are not interested in extending past the current contract’s expiration date of July 31.
