AGBO Co-Founder and Vice Chairman Mike Larocca to Depart Russo Brothers’ Studio by Year’s End

Exciting news in the film industry! Mike Larocca, Co-Founder and Vice Chairman of AGBO, the studio behind Netflix hits like “The Gray Man” and “Extraction,” is leaving the company at the end of the year. But don’t worry, it’s an amicable departure and Larocca is already eyeing his next big move. Joe and Anthony Russo, the masterminds behind AGBO, had nothing but praise for their longtime partner, calling him an “exceptional producing partner and an exceptional friend.”

Under Larocca’s leadership, AGBO has become a powerhouse in the entertainment world, with a reported valuation of $1.1 billion after receiving a $400M investment from Tokyo-based video game maker Nexon Co. Ltd last year. And with a slate of exciting projects in the works, including “The Electric State” starring Millie Bobby Brown and Chris Pratt, and “Extraction 2” with Chris Hemsworth, AGBO shows no signs of slowing down.

AGBO’s mission is to innovate and advance the next generation of storytelling across multiple mediums, including film, TV, audio, publishing, and gaming. And with Larocca’s departure, we can’t wait to see what exciting new ventures AGBO will embark on next. Stay tuned!
