Lisa Ling Becomes a Contributor for CBS News

Exciting news alert! Lisa Ling, the talented journalist and host of This Is Life with Lisa Ling, is joining CBS News as a contributor across all their broadcasts and platforms. While her show on CNN may have been cut due to budget constraints, Ling’s passion for exploring important issues like interracial families, sex trafficking, and gun violence has not waned. In fact, she recently headlined the HBO Max documentary series Take Out, which delves into Asian American history and cuisine.

Ling’s impressive resume includes hosting and executive producing Our America for Oprah Winfrey’s OWN, as well as being a correspondent for Channel One where she covered the civil war in Afghanistan at just 21 years old. She’s also been a co-host on The View and contributed to ABC News’ Nightline.

We can’t wait to see what Ling brings to CBS News when she starts this summer, based out of Los Angeles. According to Neeraj Khemlani, president and co-head of CBS News, Ling’s ability to embed with communities and connect with the people she covers makes her interviews some of the most authentic, human, and revealing. We’re ready for some hard-hitting journalism with heart!
