DGA and Hollywood Studios Reach Historic Tentative Deal on New Contract

Exciting news in the entertainment industry! The Directors Guild and studios have come to a tentative agreement on a new three-year contract, marking a major breakthrough on the 33rd day of the Writers Guild strike. And just in the nick of time, as SAG-AFTRA is set to sit down with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers in just four days. The deal includes significant improvements for every Director, Assistant Director, Unit Production Manager, Associate Director, and Stage Manager in the Guild, with groundbreaking gains in wages and benefits, global streaming residuals, and even protections against artificial intelligence replacing the duties performed by members.
