The North Road Company, founded by Peter Chernin, has just acquired a minority stake in Peyton Manning’s Omaha Productions, and we couldn’t be more excited! This deal includes a multi-year agreement for the development, production, and sale of both scripted and unscripted content. As part of the partnership, The Chernin Group investment firm will become Omaha Productions’ strategic partner to expand into media-adjacent consumer businesses.
The first project under this new partnership is the highly acclaimed documentary series, The King of Collectibles, which premiered on Netflix in April and quickly became a top-10 rated show on the platform. This series follows memorabilia dealer Ken Goldin and his team at Goldin Auctions, and features executive producers from both Omaha Productions and North Road’s Words + Pictures.
But that’s not all! Omaha Productions and Words + Pictures are currently developing a full-length documentary with Amazon Prime Video about Eric Reed, the trainer of the horse Rich Strike, which won the 2022 Kentucky Derby as the biggest long shot to win the race in over 100 years.
Omaha Productions has worked with some of the biggest names in the industry, including A+E Networks, Netflix, ABC, and NBCU. And let’s not forget about their partnership with ESPN for Monday Night Football with Peyton and Eli, which is part of a multiyear deal.
We’re thrilled to see what this partnership will bring and can’t wait to see what amazing content will come out of it!
