AFL-CIO Joins Striking Writers in NYC as Connelly-Verse and Comedy Take Over West Coast: Dispatches from the Picket Lines on Day 42

The fight for fair pay and job security is gaining momentum as the head of the country’s largest labor union, Liz Schuler, joined striking Writers Guild film and television writers at a rally outside Amazon’s East Coast headquarters in Manhattan. Schuler emphasized that the writers’ cause has the support of workers from across unionized labor, stating, “You are fighting for all of us.” She also questioned Amazon’s CEO, Jeff Bezos, about the company’s hostility towards unions despite receiving tax breaks from union-friendly New York.
