WeDo Sports Launches FAST Network in Preparation for Royal Ascot Horse Races

Get ready sports fans! WeDoTV has just launched a brand new sports channel in German-speaking countries, just in time for the Royal Ascot horse races this week. WeDo Sports will be available on Zattoo, Waipu.tv, LG Channels, and Vidaa platforms in Germany, with more platforms to be announced soon. You can also catch all the action on the Wedo app and website.

WeDo Sports will be streaming all major German and horse race meets live, including the highly anticipated Royal Ascot this week (June 20-24) and the Breeder’s Cup in the U.S. later this year. But that’s not all! The network has also secured other live events such as the German Sailing Bundesliga, the Sailing Champions League, and SailGP.

In addition to live events, WeDo Sports will also feature weekly programs highlighting football tournaments, Formula 1, e-sports, martial arts, and more. You can also look forward to documentaries on sporting icons like Tiger Woods, David Beckham, and Michael Schumacher, as well as teams like Manchester United.

According to Philipp Rotermund, Co-CEO and Founder of WeDoTV, “The launch of WeDo Sports is another piece of our vision to create a complete viewer offering in the German-speaking market. We already had strong viewer and advertiser interest in the sports content on our flagship AVOD service WedoTV in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, so creating a stand-alone FAST Channel for sports fans in this market was a logical next step. As part of our expansion strategy, we are looking at other markets for WeDo Sports as well.”

Last year, WeDoTV’s parent company Video Solutions formed a joint venture with non-scripted studio Big Media to launch FAST channels globally. FAST channels, which provide scheduled programming often focused on a genre or program brand, have been growing in popularity in the past few years.

Don’t miss out on all the action! Tune in to WeDo Sports and catch your favorite sports events and programs.
