Former Fifth Harmony Member Lauren Jauregui Claims Elon Musk Is Wreaking Havoc on Twitter Prior to Elections

Lauren Jauregui has a strong opinion about Elon Musk’s recent decision to set viewing limits on Twitter. According to the former Fifth Harmony member, it’s no coincidence that Musk is implementing these changes as the U.S. gears up for another presidential election cycle. In a tweet, Jauregui expressed her thoughts, saying, “I just wanna say Elon destroying Twitter ahead of elections is not a coincidence. Especially considering what his obvious political stance is.” She went on to emphasize the importance of Twitter as an organizing tool and a platform for discourse and accountability, stating, “Please understand nothing these billionaires do is ever a coincidence.”

Jauregui believes that there is a deliberate strategy at play, aiming to make people apathetic and distracted. She encourages everyone to connect the dots and pay attention, even when things seem random and confusing. Her comments come in response to Musk’s decision to limit the number of tweets users can view in a day. Musk claims that these changes are necessary to address data scraping and system manipulation.

Initially, the limits on Twitter were set at 6000 posts a day for verified users, 600 posts a day for unverified users, and 300 posts a day for new unverified accounts. However, by the end of the day, Musk raised the limits to 10k posts for verified users, 1k for unverified users, and 500 for new accounts. Interestingly, Musk pointed out the irony that his announcement tweet about the limits allegedly achieved a record view count.

It’s clear that Jauregui and Musk have differing perspectives on the matter, but their exchange highlights the ongoing debate surrounding social media platforms and their impact on elections and public discourse.
