Hollywood Nightclub Security Guard Fatally Beaten by Patrons in Brutal Attack

In a tragic incident at Hollywood’s Dragonfly nightclub, a security guard was brutally beaten to death by a large mob. The details of the incident are still being pieced together by the police. Responding to reports of a group of 10 people attacking one person, officers arrived at the nightclub around 2 a.m. on Santa Monica Boulevard. Detective Samuel Marullo from the LAPD West Bureau Homicide Division stated, “The victim was working at this nightclub, and a large group – for unknown reasons – confronted that security guard, causing him to fall into the street. At which time the group advanced and kicked and stomped him to death.”

The investigation is ongoing to determine whether the fight originated inside the club and spilled onto the street or started outside. Despite the tragic event, Dragonfly remained open during the incident. The club was hosting its weekly Signature Saturdays event, featuring Detroit rapper Tee Grizzley as the headliner. It is uncertain whether the club will continue its Sunday Night Fever event in the aftermath of the security guard’s death.

First responders made efforts to rescue the security guard, who has been identified as a male in his 30s. As of now, no arrests have been made. The LAPD urges anyone with information about the attack to come forward and contact them.
