Fox Corp. and Flutter Entertainment are closing down their sports betting platform, Fox Bet, in a phased manner from July 31 to August 31. Flutter operated Fox Bet as part of The Stars Group U.S., along with the U.S. facing operations of PokerStars. However, Flutter will still own PokerStars and the U.S. sports betting market leader, FanDuel. On the other hand, Fox will retain the rights to use the Fox and Fox Bet brands, including Fox Bet Super 6, and plans to launch a new game called Fox Super 6 later this summer. Additionally, Fox will maintain its option to acquire 18.6% of FanDuel and holds a 2.5% stake in Flutter. Stay tuned for more updates…
