In a shocking midday incident at the Americana at Brand mall in Glendale, Calif., a group of daring thieves managed to escape with an estimated $300,000 worth of merchandise from the Yves Saint Laurent store. This bustling indoor-outdoor hub is a popular destination for locals and visitors alike, located in the vibrant city of Glendale, adjacent to Northeast and Downtown Los Angeles.
The audacious thieves, believed to be a group of 30-40 individuals, made a swift getaway in approximately 20 vehicles. Videos captured by witnesses and shared on social media show the culprits, dressed in hooded sweatshirts, fleeing the store in broad daylight.
The Glendale Police Department is actively collaborating with the Americana to identify the suspects involved in this brazen robbery. Authorities are determined to bring these criminals to justice and ensure the safety and security of the community.
“This coordinated crime challenges our values, but our determination to uphold safety and unity is resolute. Together, we’ll ensure that such incidents do not define us,” stated Glendale Mayor Dan Brotman in a news release.
