Brett Weitz Appointed X Head Of Content as Three Former TV Execs Join Platform

Linda Yaccarino, a seasoned executive with an impressive background in the entertainment industry, has recently been appointed as the new CEO of Twitter (now X). With 15 years at Turner Entertainment and 11.5 years at NBCUniversal under her belt, Yaccarino brings a wealth of experience to her new role. And she’s wasting no time in assembling a top-notch team, as she recently announced the hiring of four executives she had previously worked with at Turner or NBCUniversal.

One of the notable hires is Brett Weitz, the former General Manager of TNT, TBS, and truTV. Weitz has been named Head of Content, Talent, and Brand Sales, a crucial role in driving the company’s success. Another familiar face joining Yaccarino’s team is Monique Pintarelli, a fellow Turner alum who will serve as Head of the Americas, overseeing Sales and Partnerships across the U.S., Canada, and Latin America. Yaccarino has also brought on board Carrie Stimmel, who previously held key positions at NBCUniversal, to serve as Global Agency Leader. And rounding out the team is Rob Hayes, another NBCU executive, who will lead Revenue Operations.

These new hires bring a wealth of Hollywood experience to the tech company, which is headed by the visionary Elon Musk. With their expertise and Yaccarino’s leadership, Twitter (now X) is poised for even greater success in the future.

In addition to these exciting developments, Yaccarino’s team is also making strides in the content and entertainment industry. Brett Weitz, in particular, has played a pivotal role in the success of TNT, TBS, and truTV. During his tenure as General Manager, he helped maintain TNT and TBS as the top two networks in prime among all cable entertainment networks, while truTV became a favorite among the youngest and most affluent viewers. Weitz’s contributions to TBS, including the hit show “The Last O.G.” and “Full Frontal with Samantha Bee,” have revitalized the network’s comedy brand. And his work as SVP Scripted Development for TBS and TNT led to the development of popular series like “The Last Ship,” “Rizzoli & Isles,” and “Dallas.” Weitz’s ability to define brand lanes for the three TNets has resulted in numerous successful comedies, dramas, and movies.

Meanwhile, Monique Pintarelli, who has an extensive background in media and sales, brings a unique perspective to her role as Head of the Americas. With her experience at Turner Broadcasting and her recent position as President, North America, at global media platform Teads, Pintarelli is well-equipped to drive sales and partnerships across the region.

Carrie Stimmel, a seasoned executive in the advertising and partnerships industry, will play a crucial role as Global Agency Leader. Her previous positions at NBCUniversal, including chief growth officer for Olympics & Paralympics, have prepared her to lead the company’s agency relationships on a global scale.

And finally, Rob Hayes, with his extensive experience in digital initiatives and entertainment, will lead Revenue Operations. His previous roles at Dow Jones, NBC Entertainment, and Showtime Networks have equipped him with the skills and knowledge necessary to drive revenue growth for the company.

With this talented team in place, Twitter (now X) is well-positioned to continue its success and make a significant impact in the tech and entertainment industries.
