SAG-AFTRA and Studios’ Negotiations in Final Stretch Amid Optimism, No Deal Tonight

EXCLUSIVE: In the midst of the 108-day strike, SAG-AFTRA and AMPTP are making progress towards a new deal. According to a guild source, there is a feeling of optimism, and a senior studio source added that they are in the final stretch. Both sides are confident that a deal may be reached soon, although they caution that the situation is still fluid. The main focus of the negotiations has been success-based compensation for streaming shows and their casts.

Neither SAG-AFTRA nor the AMPTP have responded to requests for comment on today’s talks. Negotiation teams on both sides have been in communication throughout the day.
