EXCLUSIVE: Get ready for an exciting new venture from actress and entrepreneur Jessica Alba! After her success with The Honest Company, Alba is now diving into the film and TV production space with the launch of Lady Spitfire. Teaming up with producer Tracey Nyberg, Lady Spitfire aims to create boundary-pushing, high-quality content in collaboration with diverse artists and creators. Their focus will be on female-driven, culturally diverse, and Latino-inspired stories.
“I’m thrilled to embark on this new chapter of my life and career with Lady Spitfire,” Alba shared. “My passion lies in reimagining and redefining how women and minorities are represented in the world through great stories. I want to make it easier for dreams to come true and potential to be realized for women and minorities, especially in my community.”
Under the Lady Spitfire banner, Alba is currently working on the second season of the home improvement series Honest Renovations at Roku. She is also set to star in and executive produce the Netflix movie Trigger Warning, premiering this summer, as well as the upcoming sports feature Flash Before the Bang.
Nyberg, who previously produced the Golden Globe-nominated series Lessons in Chemistry and the Netflix feature Your Place Or Mine, expressed her excitement about joining forces with Alba. “Working with talented creators to entertain audiences has always been my motivation,” Nyberg said. “We have a unique opportunity to bring diverse perspectives to a wide audience, and the specificity of these stories is what will make them resonate.”
Lady Spitfire will be represented by UTA, the agency that represents Alba in all areas. Alba will also continue to be represented by 3 Arts Entertainment, Sloane Offer Weber & Dern, and Full Coverage Communications.
